In 1988, our first PUVA device started to work.

In 1994, initially our polyclinic and later our inpatient clinic were put into service in the new building in Gazi Hospital Beşevler campus, and new units were opened in our clinic in parallel with the development of dermatology in the world.

Today, our Department, which provides services with its academic staff consisting of 9 faculty members and 8 research assistants and a sufficient number of administrative staff, continues its academic and routine activities and looks to the future with hope with its staff that is gradually getting stronger.

Services

The services provided in our Department, which serves to provide exemplary education in the field of Skin and Venereal Diseases at undergraduate and medical specialization level, to contribute to the literature on scientific research, and to be a leading educational institution in our country and in the world;

• Phototherapy: PUVA, narrowband UVB, local PUVA, UVA1, microphototherapy
• Dermatosurgery: Biopsy, nail extraction, nevus excision, electrocautery, curettage of skin lesions, abscess drainage, intralesional injection and cryotherapy
• Fungus Laboratory: Fungal search and Wood light inspection
• Contact Dermatitis Unit: Skin patch test
• Hair Diseases Unit: Trikogram/Trikoscan
• Dermascopy: It is the examination of nevus and other pigmented skin lesions with a computerized digital dermoscope.
